LAS VEGAS – Ernest Chavez  admits he thought he was special and wouldn’t be affected by the notorious “octagon jitters.” He quickly learned how wrong he was. Despite the butterflies, Chavez (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) continued his unbeaten run after taking a split decision over fellow lightweight Yosdenis Cedeno (9-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in a UFC Fight Pass-streamed preliminary-card bout at Saturday’s UFC 170 event in Las Vegas.
