After a busy last several years that have seen him go from up-and-coming prospect to established veteran, Titan FC lightweight Eric Marriott took a step back from MMA last year and it might have cost him. “I didn’t fight very much because I bought a new business and kind of focused on that,” said Marriott. “I took a short notice fight (against Nolan Norwood at Epic Fight Night 2) and lost it back in December.” Marriott feels that not only did the fight being short notice not help, but because he was busy with his new business, he hadn’t had the kind of time overall to prepare like he normally would have throughout the year. “I was still training, just not like I should for the level of fighting that I’m at,” he said.
