Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has been on the mend since May 2012 due to multiple injuries. He suffered a knee injury while training to defend his belt against Urijah Faber following a coaching stint by the two on The Ultimate Fighter in 2012. He had surgery to repair the injury, but it didn’t take, forcing him to basically start over. While preparing for his expected return at UFC 169 in February, he suffered a pulled groin and relinquished his title.
