Lyoto Machida made a splashy entry into the middleweight division this past October when he stopped friend and sometimes training partner Mark Munoz with a head kick in England. The win set the 185-pound division buzzing about the potential for “The Dragon” to make a run at a title there. In 2009, Machida won the light heavyweight title when he knocked out champion Rashad Evans in the second round at UFC 98 in Las Vegas.
