UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barão defended his belt from Urijah Faber in the UFC 169 main event, while his teammate, Jose Aldo , retained his featherweight strap in the co-main event. Neither landed on the UFC 169 medically suspended list, but after the show produced a record number of fights going to a decision with 10, there were numerous fighters suspended indefinitely pending medical clearance. The New Jersey State Athletic Control Board on Saturday released the UFC 169: Barnão vs. Faber II medical suspensions to MMAWeekly.com.
