NEWARK, N.J. – In a little more than a day, we’re two upsets away from the UFC having a grand total of zero Brazilian champions. After the record title reign by Anderson Silva, as well as championship runs by the likes of Junior dos Santos and Lyoto Machida, it’s now up to UFC 169 co-headliners and reigning titleholders Renan Barao and Jose Aldo to assure one of the world’s most fight-centric countries is represented in the UFC championship ranks. On Saturday at the pay-per-view event, bantamweight champ Barao (31-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) takes on Urijah Faber (30-6 MMA, 6-2 UFC), and featherweight titleholder Aldo (23-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) meets challenger Ricardo Lamas (13-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC). Both titleholders are sizable favorites, but if the upsets happen, Brazil won’t have a champion to calls its own. Obviously, that possibility elicited different reactions from different fighters
