When UFC lightweight contender Josh Thomson (20-5 MMA, 3-1 UFC) found out his shot at current champ Anthony Pettis (17-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) was going to be delayed, he wasn’t overly disappointed. In fact, “The Punk” predicted it would happen. After hearing that “Showtime” was dealing with knee issues in his August title win over then-champ Benson Henderson (19-3 MMA, 7-1 UFC), Thomson figured there would likely be lingering concerns. “I kind of thought he was potentially going to get hurt,” Thomson said. As it turns out, Thomson was right, and his bout with Pettis was canceled. However, rather than sit around and wait for the champ ti return, Thomson elected to stay busy and now meets Henderson in the main event of Saturday’s UFC on FOX 10 event, which takes place at Chicago’s United Center and airs on FOX
