With UFC President Dana White admitting he’s struggling to find anyone to face undefeated Russian contender Khabib Nurmagomedov (21-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC), a volunteer has emerged. With a pair of impressive outings under his belt, 27-year-old lightweight Michael Johnson (12-8 MMA, 6-4 UFC), took to Twitter to announce he would be happy to take on “The Eagle.” Well @danawhite if @NateDiaz209 don’t wanna scrap with me I think the people want me & @TeamKhabib @ufc — Michael Johnson (@FollowTheMenace) January 12, 2014 Johnson’s offer was in reply to White’s recent claim that not only had Nate Diaz declined a matchup with Nurmagomedov but that “Nobody wants to fight Khabib.” Diaz has denied turning down the matchup. Johnson appears ready to take on just about anybody in the lightweight division at this point, as he recently asked for Diaz, as well
