The year 2013 was a monumental one for the UFC, from hosting the most events in history over the course of a 365-day span to adding to its first female weight class to perhaps the most important thing of all: some of the best fights ever seen inside the octagon. Now that the year has to a close, and with a major assist from FightMetric research analyst and live statistics producers Michael Carroll , here are some of 2013’s most significant milestones from the events, the fights and individual performances. EVENTS The UFC held 33 events in 27 different cities across seven countries. Within those events, there were 386 fights across nine different weight classes.
