In 2013 the number of truly elite fighters competing outside of the UFC are few and far between. It’s a number that continues to dwindle. World Series of Fighting welterweight Josh Burkman is one of those few, and he realizes he can use his current stature to his advantage, especially when it comes to drawing attention to Saturday’s showdown with Steve Carl.
