Bellator MMA launched its new reality series on Wednesday night, following promotion’s first Summer Series live event. Fight Master: Bellator MMA is similar to its Spike TV predecessor, The Ultimate Fighter, but is similar to The Voice in how the fighters are divvied up into teams. The show starts with 32 welterweight athletes that pair off, trying to fight their way onto the show. The winners of the fights gain the opportunity to select from one of four coaches. Much like The Voice, the coaches jockey for position, trying to sway fighters into selecting their respective teams.
