UFC 311 will continue as planned in California despite areas of Los Angeles being destroyed by wildfires in recent days. The status of Saturday’s event, scheduled to take place at Intuit Dome in Inglewood with a main card on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPNews and ESPN+, was in limbo for a period due to the devastation done by a series of wildfires. Several major sporting events in the Los Angeles area, from an NFL playoff game to multiple NBA regular season contests, were postponed or relocated because of the disaster, and on Friday it was reported that the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) was monitoring the situation and working closely with government and local officials to determine the best course of action. The UFC hasn’t issued a public comment on the situation whatsoever, but now Intuit Dome has issued a statement addressing multiple planned events at the venue, and noted that UFC 311 is set to go forward. Check it out below: The NBA announced the LA Clippers game against the Charlotte Hornets at Intuit Dome has been postponed due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles and out of respect for the public service resources needed during this time.
