Second-ranked welterweight contender Shavkat Rakhamonov was supposed to be fighting for the title this weekend in the UFC 310 main event, but champion Belal Muhammad was forced out of the fight due to a fractured foot. Wanting to still compete on the fight card, Rakhamonov was lined up against seventh-ranked Ian Machado Garry in a match between undefeated fighters. To add to the storyline, Rakhmonov and Garry have trained together before including sparring ‘three or four times.’ Garry recently released footage of one of their training sessions, but Rakhmonov says the video doesn’t tell the whole story.
