Da’Mon Blackshear flexed his submission skills again in a first-round finish at UFC Fight Night 247 . Blackshear (15-7-1 MMA, 3-3-1 UFC) entered the preliminary bantamweight contest against Cody Stamann in need of a big win, as he lost his previous two fights. At 4:19 of Round 1, “Da Monster” secured a rear-naked choke submission of Stamann (21-8-1 MMA, 7-7-1 UFC). After a furious combination of punches sparked by an accurate flying knee to the chin, a rocked Stamann attempted to grab a hold of Blackshear. He was unsuccessful though, as Blackshear sprawled, scrambled, and began working for submission finishes on the ground. He found Stamann’s back and locked in a rear-naked choke to get the tap in the final minute of the opening round
