UFC middleweight contender Marvin Vettori is bummed an injury forced him out of a scheduled bout against Brendan Allen, but that hasn’t stopped him from talking trash about his would-be opponent. Vettori (19-6-1 MMA, 9-5-1 UFC) was set to meet Allen (23-5 MMA, 11-2 UFC) in a UFC Fight Night headliner on April 6, but had to withdraw due to injury . Recently, Allen posted a video to Instagram Reels with a side-by-side of him and Vettori at a UFC event, promoting the scheduled main event. Allen included the caption, “Let’s see if this sticks! #illbethere.” When news broke of the cancelation, Allen created another post, calling for matchups against other top middleweight contenders. Apparently, that did not sit well with Vettori. “The Italian Dream” explained his reasons for pulling out of the fight while apologizing to his fans, in what began as a straightforward confirmation of Thursday’s news.
