Despite missing out on a return to the octagon, Dominick Reyes can consider himself lucky. The former UFC title challenger revealed Thursday that a deep vein thrombosis diagnosis – blood clots in his leg – was the reason why he had to withdraw from his fight against Carlos Ulberg. Reyes (12-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) and Ulberg (9-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) were originally booked for UFC 297 on Jan. 20, but Ulberg had to withdraw because of an injury . Then the UFC announced that they would meet on March 30, but Reyes also revealed that he had never signed a contract for that date, and it was just in talks
