Colby Covington once again gets a shot at gold in the main event of UFC 296. For Covington (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) to become undisputed welterweight champion, he will have to knock off Leon Edwards, who is on an 11-fight winning streak. Edwards (21-3 MMA, 13-2 UFC) claimed and then defended the title in back-to-back bouts against Kamaru Usman. Covington has held a piece of the title before. He defeated Rafael dos Anjos for the interim strap at UFC 225.
