UFC women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso left her rematch with Valentina Shevchenko under similar conditions as her rival. Grasso revealed on Tuesday that she fractured her right hand during her title defense at Noche UFC on Sept. 16 and had to undergo surgery. This was the same fortune as Shevchenko as she also fractured her right hand in the fight. Grasso (17-3-1 MMA, 9-3-1 UFC), who kept her title after fighting Shevchenko (23-5-1 MMA, 12-4-1 UFC) to a split draw , didn’t announce a timeline for her return but did seem optimistic about her recovery for the expected trilogy
