LAS VEGAS – Jonathan Martinez is looking for a big name in the bantamweight division after putting together a five-fight winning streak. Martinez (18-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC) has surged up the 135-pound pecking order on the heels of a streak that includes notables such as Cub Swanson and Said Nurmagomedov. He saw former champion Dominick Cruz as an opponent that could take his career to the next level, but with the option off the table, he’s content settling with anyone ranked above him. “I wanted Dominick, but I see he’s booked already,” Martinez told MMA Junkie Radio at UFC X Radio Row earlier this month.
