Alexander Volkanovski appears willing and ready to grant Ilia Topuria his shot at the UFC featherweight title. Topuria (14-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) impressed this past Saturday when he extended his unbeaten run with a unanimous decision win over Josh Emmett in the UFC on ABC 5 main event. First, however, reigning champion Volkanovski (25-2 MMA, 12-1 UFC) is scheduled to meet interim champ Yair Rodriguez (15-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in a title unification bout in the UFC 290 headliner, which takes place July 8 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ABC, ESPN and ESPN+
