Robert Whittaker won’t get himself involved in a Paulo Costa fight again. Whittaker (24-6 MMA, 15-4 UFC) was scheduled to meet Costa (14-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) this past February at UFC 284, but the fight fell apart when Costa failed to come to terms with the UFC. The pair were booked for a matchup at UFC on ESPN 22 in April 2021, but Costa withdrew due to illness and was replaced by Kelvin Gastelum.
