Daniel Cormier says Colby Covington ’s name value is why he’s next in line for a UFC welterweight title shot. UFC president Dana White declared Covington the No. 1 contender after he flew to London to weigh in as a backup for champion Leon Edwards ’ title fight with Kamaru Usman this past Saturday at UFC 286. Edwards (21-3 MMA, 13-2 UFC) retained his title by majority decision, but the champion is not sold on Covington (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) being the next title challenger.
