If Colby Covington takes Daniel Cormier ’s advice, he’ll book a fight for himself toot suite. (Find another time “toot suite” has been used in an MMA story, and we’d love to see it!) Former two-division UFC champion Cormier, now one of the promotion’s top broadcast analysts, thinks Covington (17-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) needs to return soon – or he’ll risk becoming irrelevant in the welterweight division. Covington had a lopsided unanimous decision win over former training partner Jorge Masvidal in March 2022 at UFC 272, but has been out since then. Not long after that fight, Masvidal allegedly assaulted Covington outside a Miami Beach, Fla.
