Instead of fighting this Saturday at the UFC Apex, Tim Elliott will be undergoing surgery to repair injuries. As previously reported , Elliott (17-13-1 MMA, 7-10 UFC) withdrew from his scheduled bout on June 25 at UFC on ESPN 38 against Amir Albazi. At the time, the reasons for his withdrawal were not disclosed, but Elliott revealed why he will not compete on social media Monday evening. “Tore my ACL & meniscus, I’ll be having surgery for my fight day!” Elliott wrote on Twitter .
