Francis Ngannou defended his throne against a very tough opponent and former training partner in Ciryl Gane at UFC 270, but is staring at a nine-month recovery period after he undergoes surgery on his injured knee. Not only will he be on the mend for a while, but he also has contract issues to sort out with the UFC. Considering the issues facing the champion, how should the rest of the division proceed?
