Ciryl Gane had to go into hostile territory to get a belt wrapped around his waist, but he left little doubt. At UFC 265 in Houston, Gane made relatively easy work, all things considered, of hometown fan favorite Derrick Lewis to win the interim heavyweight title with a third-round TKO. Gane picked up a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus and set up a title unification bout against Francis Ngannou.
