“The Irish Hand Grenade” is still doing his thing in 2021. Former UFC fighter Marcus Davis , at age 48, stepped into the cage Friday at Premier FC 32 in Springfield, Mass. In his first pro MMA fight in nearly eight years, Davis (22-11) defeated Stephen Stengal (4-16) via first-round submission in the welterweight main event. The win was Davis’ first by triangle choke in his 33-fight career. From 2006-2011, Davis competed 14 times in the UFC. He defeated notables including Paul Kelly, Paul Taylor, Chris Lytle, and Pete Spratt, while competing against the likes of Nate Diaz, Dan Hardy, Jeremy Stephens, Ben Saunders and Mike Swick.
