Dana White is not on board with Kamaru Usman ’s idea of wanting to box Canelo Alvarez. The UFC president was quick to shut down Usman’s wish for the cross-over fight following Usman’s latest title defense. Usman (20-1 MMA, 15-0 UFC) defeated Colby Covington for a second time in the main event of Saturday’s UFC 268 pay-per-view at Madison Square Garden in New York City. All the way leading up to the bout against Covington, Usman had pitched the idea during media interviews about wanting to face Canelo. White thinks it’s a bad idea. “I watched the Canelo fight tonight,” White told MMA Junkie at the post-fight press conference.
