Anthony Smith ’s eighth UFC main event was a memorable one when he put on one of the finest performances of his career against Ryan Spann. In Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 192 headliner from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Smith (35-16 MMA, 11-6 UFC) had his way with Spann (19-7 MMA, 5-2 UFC) on both the feet and the ground en route to a first-round submission victory. Smith hurt Spann with his hands multiple times in the fight before finishing the job on the mat with a rear-naked choke to extend his winning streak to three fights. Smith called for a rematch with Aleksandar Rakic during his post-fight rounds, and though all signs point to him getting his wish, nothing is official.
