The first loss of Bea Malecki’s career was a rough one on Saturday evening. In her first fight of the year, Malecki (2-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) stepped in the octagon to face Josiane Nunes at UFC on ESPN 29 . Unfortunately, her opponent would end her night early with just a few seconds remaining in the first round after a hard left hand sent her to the canvas . The bantamweight bout served as a preliminary contest that aired on ESPN+. Malecki was transported to the hospital after the fight for precautionary reasons due to the knockout.
