LAS VEGAS – The main event of UFC 264 ended with an unfortunate injury for Conor McGregor . Dustin Poirier emerged victorious by doctor’s stoppage in the trilogy bout between the first and second rounds, as McGregor suffered a leg injury in the closing moments of the opening frame. “It looked like the ankle to me, but I’m no doctor. Once they get in there and do the X-rays on him and look at it, they’ll know exactly what’s wrong,” White told MMA Junkie and other reporters during the UFC 264 post-fight news conference . That’s when UFC chief business officer Hunter Campbell, who was standing close by, interrupted his response and provided an update of McGregor’s condition
