Six fighters from UFC 261 are looking at potential six-month sits on the sidelines for medical issues. It’s no surprise that chief among that list is former middleweight champion Chris Weidman (15-6 MMA, 11-6 UFC), who snapped his right leg throwing a kick just 17 seconds into his fight against Uriah Hall (17-9 MMA, 10-7 UFC). The injury was one of the most brutal in MMA history. Weidman had surgery the next day, but will be out at least six months according to a list of medical suspensions handed down by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, which oversaw UFC 261 a week ago in Jacksonville, Fla.
