It’s perhaps moot now that we know who’s next in line for UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman . But after his comments this past Saturday, many in the MMA sphere were talking about Leon Edwards and his hope that he would still get a shot at Usman – despite the fact his UFC Fight Night 187 main event with Belal Muhammad ended in a no contest after an accidental eye poke. Edwards came back from more than 600 days off, saw his return fight end in a no contest, and said he thought there was no need to run things back with Muhammad – just make him next for Usman . To paraphrase, Muhammad said he thought the Brit was nuts .
