Kamaru Usman ’s performance against Gilbert Burns at UFC 258 was that sort that gets people talking about legacy. For one thing, it was his third successful UFC welterweight title defense, which is about the point folks usually start to wonder if we’re in for a historical long title reign. For another, he’s not far off from cleaning out the division, as he’s already beaten everyone from Tyron Woodley to Jorge Masvidal to Colby Covington. But to be the best of all-time at 170, that means you’re being compared to a man many consider the pound-for-pound GOAT in Georges St-Pierre. Those are mighty big shoes to fill. When all is said and done, will Usman surpass GSP’s legacy?
