Over the summer, Alex Perez proved once again that he’s a threat on the feet. The UFC flyweight contender stopped veteran Jussier Formiga in the first round of their UFC 250 contest. Perez (24-5 MMA, 6-1 UFC) scored a technical knockout finish using calf kicks – a winning method not often seen in MMA. Formiga, who’s been a contender for many years, was unstable after absorbing multiple leg kicks until he ultimately collapsed in pain.
