After defending the women’s flyweight title three times, Valentina Shevchenko will look to continue her reign of dominance at UFC 255. Shevchenko (19-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC) will put her title on the line for the fourth time when she takes on Brazilian contender Jennifer Maia in the co-main event at the UFC Apex, where she will attempt to further cement her status as one of the most dominant champions in the UFC. Maia (18-6-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) will have other plans, of course. The Brazilian 32-year-old from Curitiba shocked Joanne Calderwood with a first-round armbar at UFC on ESPN+ 31 in August to book her shot at the gold, and the former Invicta FC champion will look to upset the odds again by dethroning Shevchenko on Saturday night.
