Miranda Maverick ’s UFC debut will have to wait a little longer. The Invicta FC veteran has been forced to withdraw from her flyweight bout against Mara Romero Borella at Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 12 in Las Vegas. The news was first reported by Combate and later confirmed by MMA Junkie’s Nolan King. Maverick (7–2 MMA, 0-0 UFC) was unable to get medical clearance, as an undisclosed injury was picked up during the pre-fight medicals ahead of Saturday’s card. It’s yet to be determined if Romero Borella will get a late replacement opponent.
