LAS VEGAS – In the midst of political unrest, UFC president Dana White says he won’t compromise his fighters’ freedom of expression. During the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, protests have broken out across the United States and the world after George Floyd died after being restrained by a Minneapolis police officer. Video showed the officer kneeling on the back of Floyd’s neck for nearly eight minutes while he begged to be released and repeated that he couldn’t breathe.
