Cheick Kongo is going to stick around with Bellator. The heavyweight contender signed a new multi-fight deal with the promotion, MMA Junkie confirmed Monday. Kongo (30-10-2 MMA, 12-2 BMMA) signed with Bellator in October 2015 and since has logged 15 fight with the company. The 44-year-old Frenchman last competed in September, when he challenged two-division champion Ryan Bader for the heavyweight title in the main event of Bellator 226. The bout ended in a no-contest in the first round, as it was deemed that Kongo sustained an accidental eye poke from the champion.
