Ray Borg admits that he was never going to retire if he missed weight, despite going on record saying that he would. Borg (13-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC), who’s been plagued with issues making weight throughout his career, took to Instagram last April – after missing the 135-pound mark against Casey Kenney – to vow that he would walk away from the sport if he ever missed weight again. Unfortunately for Borg, he ended up missing the flyweight mark by two pounds in his most recent fight, against Rogerio Bontorin in February, but didn’t follow up on his promise.
