Garbrandt (9-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC), who meets Mizugaki (21-9-2 MMA, 8-4 UFC) on Saturday in the featured FS1 preliminary bout prior to the pay-per-view main card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, has heard Cruz (22-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) express interest in a future showdown  for the 135-pound belt. Naturally Garbrandt, No. 8 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA bantamweight rankings , would be happy for the opportunity, and he doesn’t care if it’s a result of No. 1-ranked Cruz viewing him as a beatable opponent or potentially even something more.
