A featherweight matchup between longtime veteran Clay Guida and fast-rising up-and-comer Brian Ortega has been added to June’s UFC 199 event. UFC officials confirmed the new matchup following an initial report on Wednesday’s new edition of FOX Sports 1’s “UFC Tonight.” Featuring a pair of championship fights, UFC 199 takes place at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The evening’s official bout order has yet to be set, but the UFC 199 main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Guida (32-16 MMA, 12-10 UFC) returns to action for the first time since a disappointing 39-second loss to Thiago Tavares this past November in Brazil. “The Carpenter” has struggled to build a consistent rhythm in recent appearances, alternating wins and losses in six consecutive outings in the featherweight division. Meanwhile, the undefeated “T-City” Ortega (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) owns back-to-back UFC wins over Diego Brandao and Tavares
