Jassamyn Duke Ayka Hamasaki and Jennifer Maia came out on top in title fights at Invicta FC 16, but neither woman came out of the event with the amount of money made by former UFC fighter Jessamyn Duke. Duke (3-4) was stopped in Round 1 of her bout with Irene Aldana (6-2) after eating a massive flurry of punches. Still, the bantamweight pulled in $10,000 for her performance, a remnant of her time in the UFC. Hamasaki (13-1), who retained her atomweight championship with a third-round submission of Amber Brown (6-2), pulled in $6,000. Maia (13-4-1) edged out a decision win over Vanessa Porto (18-7) to capture the interim flyweight belt. She made $4,000 in victory.
