Full Metal Dojo 5: Made in Thailand will be taking place at Live House in Bangkok on May 9. The promotion will start to hold one-night tournaments, which will be open to amateurs from all over the country. FMD was founded last year and put on two events in Phuket before switching its focus to Bangkok. This will be the third show in succession to take place at Live House and the first to feature the tournament format. The organizers are hoping to promote grass roots MMA development in Thailand by bringing in fighters from different regions to compete against one another with brackets open to flyweights, bantamweights, and featherweights. The semifinals and finals will take place over the course of a single evening and there will be some prize money on the line for the winners.
