Alexander Shlemenko Former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko (52-9) has tested positive for an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio and will soon be suspended by the California State Athletic Commission. MMAjunkie today confirmed with multiple sources close to the Russian fighter that Shlemenko failed his post-fight test following a Feb. 13 win over Melvin Manhoef at Bellator 133, which took place at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to publicly discuss such matter. CSAC officials weren’t immediately available for comment, but a Bellator representative confirmed the failed test, and Bellator MMA President Scott Coker did issue a brief statement to MMAjunkie
