Brad Tavares LAS VEGAS – In a three-rounder that never really got going, Brad Tavares  slowly wore down Nate Marquardt . A persistent jab and heavy leg attacks from Tavares (13-3 MMA, 8-3 UFC) were enough to convince the judges he had the edge over Marquardt (33-14-2 MMA, 11-7 UFC). The middleweight fight was part of today’s UFC 182 main card at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. The final scores were unanimously 30-27 for Tavares, who snapped a two-fight skid that deflated his stock after a five-fight winning streak.
