Fans who came to the UFC early in the Ronda Rousey revolution have witnessed a single live Dominick Cruz fight, his 66-second knockout win over Takeya Mizugaki in September 2014. For those fans, Cruz may seem like just some guy the UFC gifted a title fight to after one victory more than a year ago. Obviously that’s not the case. Multiple knee surgeries and a groin injury have kept Cruz from the octagon, resulting in the UFC stripping him of the bantamweight title in early 2014.
