Tatiana Suarez is no stranger to adversity. Suarez (11-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) took a beating during a unanimous decision loss to strawweight champion Zhang Weili this past Saturday in the UFC 312 co-main event at Qudos Bank Center in Sydney. In her first comments since, Suarez, who overcame thyroid cancer early in her athletic career, opened up on the loss in an Instagram post as she vowed not to be deterred by her first-career setback in MMA. “‘Champions don’t show up to get everything they want; they show up to give everything they have.’ And that’s what I’ll do every single time. No matter what! I love it all.
