The UFC 314 co-main event featured a lightweight bout between former title challenger  Michael Chandler and rising star  Paddy Pimblett . Chandler entered the fight coming off back-to-back losses and in desperate need of a win. Pimblett made the walk to the octagon inside Kaseya Center in Miami riding eight-fight winning streak and looking to pick up the biggest win over his career. In the lead up to the fight, both men predicted finishes.  Pimblett landed first with a leg kick followed by another one. Pimblett went to the body with a kick and Chandler ruined in and barely missed with a right hand. Chandler pressured Pimblett.
